I recently built a new computer and installed Windows 10 as (sole) user and Administrator.
Unlike my former Windows XP, where a few check marks in the “Security>Permissions” dialog gave me “FULL CONTROL” over everything, I have not been able to achieve that total control under Windows 10. There are lots of things where I am subject to the “nag” dialog to execute something as Administrator. Lots of other things I wish to do or changes I wish to make will not execute --- probably because I cannot get the “Security/Permissions” dialog to give Full Control to everyone (or as much as possible).
Do you think entering Windows through “Safe Mode” (which I have not done in years and may not remember how) would allow me to provide Full Control Permissions as I would prefer? How about some other means to my ends.
Thank you for any assistance.
