How to enable hardware acceleration of HEVC on Pentium G4400?

I have tried mpc-hc and vlc. Cant seem to find a way to do it.
I have the latest drivers installed. It can decode h264 but not h265.

I can't say much about hardware acceleration except folks tell me it never works. I've used much slower dual core processors than yours to play HEVC files though. PotPlayer works much better for me than either of the 2 players you mention - download it and try - don't fiddle with the settings - just open it and load a file.

I have noticed that the default media player on windows 10 can play 10bit hevc with hardware acceleration.

I can't say much about hardware acceleration except folks tell me it never works. I've used much slower dual core processors than yours to play HEVC files though. PotPlayer works much better for me than either of the 2 players you mention - download it and try - don't fiddle with the settings - just open it and load a file.

I should clarify what I said about the slower dual core processors working with HEVC - I meant with 1080p. Are you trying to play 4k files? That's a whole different ballgame.
