how to enable intel turbo boost HELP

hey,so i have lenovo g500 laptop with i5 3360m 2.8ghz but turbo boost up to 3.5ghz but i cannot enable turbo boost,pls help how to enable turbo boost?

It's a option in the BIOS but by default it should be active.

What speed is it running at? Enable high performance in windows? Temps? Remember that turbo only works if the power and temps are there. If the power is lacking or the temps are too high it won't turbo.

there is no option in bios i cant find it,lenovo g500. (WildCard999) and no it is not active by default

Not all processors support TurboBoost. If it is not in the feature list for your cpu then it won't support it.

Try a game or CPU intensive task and it should auto boost to 3.5ghz, use a program such as HWmonitor to record the max clock speed.

Note that it may only boost to 3.5ghz on a single core as the boost speeds don't include all cores.

It should be. You need to do something light to make it want to boost.

What is the temp while playing? What is the CPU load while playing? Again, need something light and with thermal room to allow boost.

i know i am fixing pc for 7 years now and also mobile,but i never have this problem with turbo boost,
i upgrade yestarday from i3-3110m to i5-3360m,new thermal and everthing clean up.
i must find the way for turbo boost to be turn on -.-

That CPU doesn't turbo. It says under advanced features that it DOESN'T support turbo boost. Which means the bios wouldn't support that feature. You can try finding a bios that allows it, but my guess is it completely lacks the things needed to support turbo. The joys of owning a laptop.

new:
i5-3360m
60gb ssd ONLY WIN and 1tb hdd

Lets start over. Forget turbo boost. What's wrong? What isn't happening that you want to happen. (If you say you want turbo boost to be on I'm done.)

Does the laptop officially support the new CPU? Doesn't sound like the BIOS knows what to do with it.

You could try a BIOS update and see if that allows it to turbo boost.
