Deus Ex:Mankind Divided is first and foremost a first person shooter if you are looking to take the path to engaging in combat in all of your missions. With all the augments and skills available to your character though, there are quite a number of ways you can go about that combat though, so here's a few tips that should help.
Step 1)Choose your path.
Your augments and what you have spent points on in them are going to largely determine how you fight and play the game. You can use go through the entire game using stealth and guile and not end up in any all out brawls if you so choose, or you can walk into every situation guns blazing, build your character's augments to suit which method you want. Not sure which augments are going to be worth it? Check out my guide on augmenting your character, located here.
Step 2)Learn the controls.
You aren't going to get very far in a fight if you aren't sure how to control your character. Take some time to check the key mapping page to learn which buttons are going to do what, and customize them to suit your needs. If you are playing with a mouse and keyboard it really shows how much this game was designed for a console rather than PC, so some tweaks may be needed to get the most out of this.
Step 3)Be prepared.
Be it using stealth, or going in guns blazing, you are going to need to be carrying the right gear for the job. It's not going to do much use if you wade into a fire fight, only to realize you didn't bring any bullets with you. Alternatively, if you are using stealth and cloaking technology, invest in battery recharges more than bullets, so that you can keep your systems fully charged and cloak up whenever you need it. Visit shops and stock up on what you are going to be using most, and make sure you always have what you need on hand.
Combat can be a huge part of this game, or it can actually be pretty close to nonexistent if you stealth through, remember it is completely up to you if you are going to fight or not! There's always another option to avoid a fight completely if you are having an issue with it.
