How can I delete PC Cleaner Pro? Nothing so far has worked. It isn't in my programs. My security says it is turned off. I can't find it anywhere. My antivirus will not install until I remove it. Thoughts?

If you shut down your computer and then restart in safe mode you can then go to control panel and uninstall the program. On the bottom right of the PC Cleaner 2012 "call us" popup a covered up uninstall button will be revealed. Click on that button and it goes away after actually completing the uninstall process. Restart in normal mode and it should be gone from your computer. Pretty slick - hidden uninstall button - probably legal but I bet people do call them. Good Luck.

It will still start up when you reboot but don't worry. It left behind a startup key in the registry. Download the free version of CCleaner and do a registry scan. CCleaner will find the pcpro registry key and you can then clean it out of your computer.

I was downloading files from Adobe's site when suddenly the download was interrupted by warning from PC Cleaner that I had attracted a virus that had corrupted my Adobe files and would affect whole computer eventually. Download PC Cleaner Pro to fix. I'm sure you all know the problem, but the point is that they basically saisd you had a buy their product to be free of the worm. I've tried uninstalling from Windows 7 64 bitto no avail. Even tried going back to previous restore point - computer froze up. While it appears to be gone, I have noticed JPEG files are disappearing from their folders on both internal and external drives. In short PC CLEANER PRO IS a BAD VIRUS / WORM. I'm surprised that Adobe had it on their site in first place - the blab said that my Adobe downloads were at risk, specifying I was downloading from Adobe. Have not yet successfully removed it. Will keep persevering.

Cheers

Garry
