How to find a printer on computer

I am installing printer software to my computer, it is a HP 1600 series, where do I find this printer so I can connect it to the coputer?

After the software is installed, the printer should show up under the control panel.

In on win7 or vista, just search printers in the control panel.

If it is not listed there, ensure it is powered on and you have the latest drivers from the HP website.
