How to find a thread?

This thread got locked. I'd love to see the original thread it referred to, but I just can't find my way around here to find it. How do I find the OP's original thread?

And in the larger sense, I can never find my (or another poster's) posting history. Is that a design feature?

look under tracked threads, that is your best bet, or go and search the forum for your user name as it will be what the thread is classified under

One way to find user threads is to Google them. For example entering this:

COLGeek site:tomshardware.com

...will return all threads with my username in them. Moderators can see user histories, but members can't.

If you have ever commented on that thread you are looking for, it can be found under My Followed threads section...
I doubt if you can see others history.

Yes, well, no. Since I didn't comment on the original thread, that's not going to do it for me... I need to find the thread before I can track it. It's one of the deficiencies in the Tom's Forums model.

That works nicely with someone that has only a few posts. Thanks. Guess it's as good as we'll get with the current software.
