How to find Found Folder

My external went through a scan and I now don't have at least 2 folders with edited pictures on my external. I am really challenged with this root drive stuff and have no idea where to start looking. I am so stressed. These are files that I need.

Yes, I downloaded them through Lightroom and I edited one of the sets and was opening the other when Photo Shop CS5 froze so I was restarting my desktop so I removed the external and was going to work on my laptop and that is when the problem started.
