I'm trying to update my driver but the nvidia site keeps displaying
a very old version 340 ... I'm currently running 430.39 but need
something higher than 471.41 for nvenc support.

Can anyone point me at a driver to do this - ie
windows-7 64 GTX970 later than 471.41

thanks

Just thought I'd offer some feedback since I've now used this:
Comparison of software ffmpeg and using nvenc:

Converting a HD video to MP4 and audio to AC3

Software ffmpeg:
2.0- 2.2 times playback 45 FPS
CPU temp (liquid cooled) hits 85 C sometimes more

Nvenc ffmpeg doing same:
9.2-9.6 times playback about 244 FPS
CPU reaches no more than 45-49 C
GTX970 peaks at 56 C

I so wish I knew the card could do this a long time ago.
Highly recommended to use nvenc if you can.

Does anyone know if there is an update to nvenc 472.12 for win7 GTX970 as this no longer seems to work with ffmpeg
(And where to find it - ...) I've hunted the nvidia siste and cant find nvenc listed still. Yahoo doesnt seem to help again.

thanks

OK Ignore the above

It seems ffmpeg for windows is now compiled to use nvenc API 12.0 and later which doesnt seem to have a win7-64 implementation
so I'll be looking for alternatives to using ffmpeg

Thanks for reading though.
