How to find mobo make & model no.

Hi All, this friend of mine has got a Dell computer and now he wants to update the bios. Is there any 'program' he can run in his computer which will give the mobo make and model number?

The best way to identify the board is by looking at it and writing down anything that appears to be identifying, then log onto http://www.motherboards.org. They've got an amazing database and an array of tools that'll help you identify the board.
