How to find Oracle wording changes

Hi everybody,

is there an easy way to get a list of all cards (preferably sorted
by editions resp. expansion sets) for which the wording changed?

In Oracle, I can only find the present wording of a card, but no
hint, that the wording changed. (Or did I miss something here?)

I know that I can find such information in the 'Rules Team Releases',
but I think there must be an easier way to find out about the Oracle
wording changes.

Thanks in advance for your help! Th.

Tell you what. I'll just list the cards that _haven't_ changed. Stream
of Life, adn the basic lands. That's it.

....ok, I exaggerate. A bit. Virtually every card earlier than Ice Age
is different. Most card between Ice Age and Masques have errata of one
sort or another, whether it's because Mana Sources and Interrupts
disappeared, or changed creature types, or what have you. Post-Masques
(and 6th edition), we're getting into fairly modern templating, so
there aren't the widespread changes, but still you can expect 5% - 15%
of cards errated per set.

Basically, it would be a big document. I'd wager that it would contain
more than half the cards ever printed.

I think Dave Delaney maintains spoilers for each set taken from the
printed wordings on the cards....let's see... ah.

You'll want the files called d.l.[expansion abreviation].

Justin, going off to wander through Dave's site again, which he hasn't
done in years.

"Easy"? No, not really.

No, you haven't missed anything.

Nnnnot really. I have what I hope are "original text spoiler lists" for
every expansion on my webpages, http://www.vic.com/~dbd/NFd , the files
starting with d.l.* - but especially for the earlier sets nearly EVERY
card has had wording changes simply because the rules changed out from
under them and the card wording had to change to keep up.

You could start keeping copies of the full Oracle, the text format one is
just over a megabyte, which isn't at all space-filling these days (I have
64Mb in my -pocket-), and just taking the differences between them; I've been
doing that for a while, about since mid-6th Edition, and you can see THOSE
files in http://www.vic.com/~dbd/NFd/oracle , the or.* files at the bottom
of the listing. But that doesn't help much with the sets before 6th Edition,
I know.
