How to find out if HDD is sata or ide?

how can you find out if your HDD is sata or ide? thanks

Most certain way is open your case and look:

Ide looks like this:http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/11/23/pc_interfaces_101/page15.html

Sata looks like this: http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/11/23/pc_interfaces_101/page14.html

Older computers will have only ide, newer ones prob use sata but they can have both.

Can also check in the bios
