Question How to find out if my Ryzen CPU is shagged?

Hi guys

I have a fairly new Ryzen 5950x. Today it's a lot slower than normal. Looking on Ryzen Master it's not overheating or coming close. How can I find out if there's a problem with it?

What are the idle temps?
Can you describe "its feeling slower than normal" a bit more.

To throw a blanket answer, you could do a simple comparative benchmark. Even something simple like CPU-Z will show a standard performance for similar CPU. Along with that you could do test(s) on your storage solution to make sure it's running as expected, same with your RAM.

The idle temp is 35 degree C. I have 128GB Ram, Noctua D14 cooler (CPU never goes above 75 degrees C). Nvidia 1660Ti card. Is there a test for the CPU to see if its working ok. Work tasks are now taking about 10 times longer than before.

Userbenchmark can be helpful to eliminate some issues. Can you run it and post a link to your results?

If everything is slow, could be a bad hd dying too.

seconded. Run Userbenchmark and show the results. I expect that your CPU is operating fine and it is something else causing the slowdown. Most likely is that you've installed some badly-behaved software recently.
