How to find replacement screws for my Zalman Cooler?

I picked up a Zalman CNPS 9900 Max a few months ago for my PC, but when I was putting my new build together I misplaced some of the screws. I wasn't able to install it initially for that reason, so I've just been using the built in cooler since then. I've sent in one or two parts request forms since then, but I've been so swamped with work that I only recently realized this morning that my screws never came. I never actually got around to installing the damn thing.

How can I get replacement screws for my cooler so I can install it? Apparently the four screws and their corresponding mounting brackets I'm looking for are specially made for this build, and can't just be bought at a local hardware store. Like I said, I've tried contacting zalman asking for new screws and mounting brackets, but I guess they don't do parts replacements for something so small? I don't want to buy a whole new cooler just for the screws.

I should add that this was my first time building a computer, so I'm new to this whole process. If there's any glaring issues you guys notice with what I'm doing that I'm missing here, please don't hesitate to point them out to me.

Sadly your only solution has got to come from Zalman. Keep trying to get them to respond or buy a different cooler. The brackets and screws come from them only. If you had the exact screw thread and pitch, you could maybe find them online but if you need brackets also then back to square one. GL

If they seriously don't offer replacements screws unless I buy the whole cooler again, I'm probably going to buy my future coolers elsewhere. I'm going to keep trying to get some screws and brackets from them in the meantime, but if I don't get anything, then that's some terrible service. Thanks for the help.

I thought I'd add this; I sent in a replacement parts request for the screws and brackets and they were kind enough to send it to me, no questions asked. So They actually are kind enough to replace your screws, if you need them to. So they're still a good part supplier, in my opinion. I judged too quickly.

or for other screws, in the future, you can get a thread guage, like this one to identify the thread pitch,

and either using a caliper or one of those cheap plastic bolt guages, with simple holes to drop the screw thru and identify the diameter, you can then go to www.mcmaster.com to order the screws you need. You'll probably have to buy a box of 50 for $4-$6 but you'll have them.

as most of these items are made in china, i'd suspect you'd want a metric thread guage and bolt diameter guage
