How to fix 0x8007000d update failure?

Easiest way I found to fix Windows updates that won't install is do a repair install - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html
All it does is replaces windows, everything else stays as it was before you repaired windows. I did one last weekend on windows 11 and it took 20 minutes. You just need to get 3 updates afterwards. one for .net, one for the tool that removes malicious applications, and the latest Cumulative Update.

choose powershell (admin)

copy/paste this command into window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth

and press enter

Then type SFC /scannow

and press enter

Restart PC if SFC fixes any files as some fixes require a restart to be implemented

First command repairs the files SFC uses to clean files, and SFC fixes system files

SFC = System File Checker. First command runs DISM - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/what-is-dism?view=windows-11

it hasn't worked so far

what is your current windows build number and which update are tryin to install

I also tried installing the June 2022 one as well but that also didn't work

would it remove or tamper with my AMD drivers or anything. I really dont want to lose data

All it should do is reinstall windows over top of itself. It doesn't remove anything else.

Sure, there is always a small chance it goes wrong but it only took me 30 minutes max to be back in a working windows.

I would back up anything on C you can't lose, but you should be fine.

does it tinker with drivers because i dont feel like reinstalling AMD Chipset Drivers and AMD Radeon Drivers.

10 days ago I did a repair install. My PC was exactly the same afterwards.
All the operation does is replaces the current version of win 10 with itself. It then gets the updates it was unable to before.
All your files including drivers should be in the exact same place afterwards.

I bit the bullet and reseted Windows but I kept the files and I did have to reinstall the drivers but it wasnt that bad.
