K kattygaz0423 Honorable Feb 9, 2014 10 0 10,520 Feb 9, 2014 #2 I don't know if it'll work for you, but it worked at my sister's laptop since she has also 8.1: 1. log in the affected account 2. press windows key + r 3. type "taskkill /f /im restoreoptin.exe" (remove the quotes) then hit enter after that you should create a new administrator account (local one) so it wont be a problem or try disabling it on msconfig (startup) Upvote 0 Downvote
I don't know if it'll work for you, but it worked at my sister's laptop since she has also 8.1: 1. log in the affected account 2. press windows key + r 3. type "taskkill /f /im restoreoptin.exe" (remove the quotes) then hit enter after that you should create a new administrator account (local one) so it wont be a problem or try disabling it on msconfig (startup)
