How to fix Mail app?

Hi

The Mail app will not start in my main Windows 10 account. I tried reinstalling Mail but it still won't start. On Microsoft's suggestion I tried creating a new WIndows account and found that Mail starts there ok. But I want to use my original Windows account.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft Answers forum has not provided a solution.

How can I fix Mail to work in my main account? Are there some registry entries I can modify or delete?
