My usb drive fail to open in file explorer and show as "RAW" in disk management.

"chkdsk" doesn't work.

I open using WinHex and found that $Logfile and $Volume is missing.

What is on the USB drive: OS, game, data? I see a setup.exe and autorun files listed.

Make and model USB drive?

Capacity, how full?

I also noted a "reference" to an E: drive - 51% full, NTFS, and possibly 1 TB capacity.

Is that the USB drive in question?

Did you attempt any editing via WinHex? If so, what did you do and why?

The MFT record in your screenshot appears to be that of the $LogFile, in which case it is corrupt. You may be able to repair it by copying the corresponding record from $MftMirr.

That said, you should clone the drive to an image file and then recover your data before attempting any repair.

Try to view the file/folder tree in DMDE:

Personally, I would only attempt a repair to satisfy my curiosity and to find out what went wrong.
