How to fix shortcut to download photos

in google photos, when i press Shift+d it desnt dowload the photo, it opens it in Photos. How do I change this

Depends on the browser you are using. Here are shortcut keys for a few browsers and for that key combo itself (listed first)... As far as I find that combo doesn't do what you are referring to.
