Hi. I bought a Sony STR De595 from Goodwill earlier today for $30. I was amazed at the price, because I had a newer model before. So it's from 2003, I believe. The display and buttons work perfectly, but only one imput works. I imagine these can't be too difficult to fix, because I'd hate to have wasted $30 on something that only has a few broken pieces. Does anyone have a guide on how to fix this? The two speaker pieces I plugged in work perfectly, so I know it's the receiver. imgur.com/a/9GV0Y

Hello,

Which input is still operational? Both speakers are working when using that input? No other inputs are usable, including the built-in tuner? When changing inputs, the display indicates the change?

Usually, the digital input selector is to blame. However, from the pictures you posted I see two worned-out capacitors, so you should change them, along with all electrolytic capacitors from the power supply. I see one of the output protection relay covered with thermal paste, so someone definitely tried to fix the receiver before.

The quickest solution is to address a repair shop. If you have some experience, go find the service manual and check the voltages and the signal shapes in the measurement points.
