How to fix the 00 sign ?

Hello i got a pc recently and one of my friends spilt water on it after I got it checked they said the display chip is not working and ye motherboard shows the 00 sign can you guys please help me? I have i5 processer water cooling 750 wt of power supply super nova 16 gb ram gtx 1080sc 8 gb and ASUs maximus vi hero motherboard please help

Was the water spilled on the motherboard while it connected to the power supply and running, or while the motherboard was off? If it was off, the water probably did no harm, just give it time to completely dry off.

It has been 3 months and the pc was off when the water was spilt and the water was everywhere but only the motherboard was fried/only the display card doesn’t work

I am not sure i understand you. Are you saying the video card is the problem, not the motherboard?

If you look in your motherboard manual on page 1-31, 00 is not warning you about a problem, 00 means nothing.

1. Can you identify your i5 processor?
2. Have you cleared the CMOS?
3. Have you tried booting without the graphics card installed, and just use the internal graphics?
4. Have you tried booting with just 1 stick of RAM in slot DIMM_A2?

I will try all of them right now and the processor is probably i5 4670

To clear the CMOS, unplug the computer, remove the motherboards coin battery for 60 seconds, place it back in and restart.

I cleared the cmos and it still shows 00 any other ways ? And the cpu_led is showing a red light is that normal ?

Is this the CPU_LED behind the 24-pin power connector? If it stays lit up, that indicates a problem with the CPU.

You have to find faulty component first.
Test all the parts on some other working pc - graphics card, ram, hdd/ssd, psu.
If everything else works, then replace the motherboard.

I'm not sure. Was it pure water that was spilled on the motherboard, or a soft drink? You may need to take the CPU out of the socket and make sure it's clean.
