How to force GTX 1060 to work at full power?

I just run mount and blade napoleonic wars and i was shocked this card cant hold stable 120 fps, it even drops to 80"s very often when a lot is going on. Its not acceptable for me in this game as i could run it previously maxed out on 10y old PC. I run it with msi afterburner and i saw that when the card drops below 100 it sometimes utilize 71% of power and when it has 150 fps it utilize 100% power, its retarded, how to switch it off to make it work at 100% all the time?

any chance of any specs? both this machine and the old machine, and was it the same game on both machines.

What is your full pc spec? What is the individual core usage (not total cpu usage) when these drops happen? Sounds typical of a cpu being maxed out or a game that can only use 1 or 2 cores is maxing out those cores while the others are doing nothing.

its i5 6600k @4.4GHz , 16gb ram, gtx 1060, windows 10

previously was phenom II x4 955, 4gb ram HD 5850.

all cores are at 50"s / 60"s

Mount and blade engine is old. As far as I can remember it uses only one core of your cpu. So if the battle is very big your cpu will bottleneck. You need cpu with very good single thread performance.

If you set unlimited bodies setting during sieges it will crash eventually.

You can try to disable power efficiency setting in nvidia settings. But I dont think the problem here is your gpu.

lol, i5 6600k isnt enough for this game? Can i set bottleneck this way that it only reduce cards power/boost when game cant reach stable 120 fps?

I think your gpu is doing it. The problem here is the game engine, which doesnt use your cpu effectively. Hope in the new M&B game they fix it.

in my "GPU tweak II" software for Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB.
my Total-Power is 7% when im at desktop not in a game..
when im inside battlefield 1 . its comes up to 86 max . never had it at 100%
i have set the target power % to 110. but i still dont get more totalpower .
standard OC from nvidia. set to (Gaming mode)
