Could someone please help me to find th soloution. I am currently running ubuntu 14.04 and i have a z97 gaming 5

Solution
Windows can only boot from GPT on UEFI-based computers running 64-bit versions of Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, and corresponding server versions. Your motherboard type does not seem to support UEFI. You should delete all data on the disc, then create new MBR based partitions using the windows setup.

if the motherboard of your computer can't support UEFI or EFI, you can't boot your system from the GPT disk. so in this situation, you can convert GPT to MBR
