how to format redhat 5.4 and install window7

in my HP Laptop, Redhat 5.4 OS is installed,and i am trying to format Readhat and install Window7 ultimate, but booting from usb(FAT32), it does not showing any drive option.....
i googled it but can not find any solution.All settings of system is as normal, I selected
First boot device USB.

I recall having a similar problem trying to load windows xp on a laptop after formatting a previous Ubuntu installation. You need to boot into a partition manager and convert the existing linux partition on the drive from ext2/ext3/ext/4 (whichever you chose) to NTFS. I prefer Gparted's Live CD. I am not sure of the technical reasoning behind it, but for some reason that did the trick for me. I would imagine Windows would be able to recognize a drive of any format, but not in my situation.
