How to formate bootable pendrive use in Windows 10 Creator installation.

Firstly i make bootable pendrive by cmd for installation windows 10 creator. Now i want to formate my pendrive but it shown error that 'The disk is write protected'. Please anybody suggest me what can i do?

Look on the side of it. If theres a switch move it to the other side


And what have you got to put on the flash drive?

Thanks for suggestion Paul NZ, my all USB ports are working correctly even i apply all methods in my friends laptop also.

Did you download the Windows 10 Creator update ISO? You can get it with the mediacreation tool

Then use rufus to put it on a flash drive

Thank you phillip corcoran, i tried all basic thing to format like cmd, regedit, etc. But that all thing can't sovle my problem.

Thank you Paul NZ, when i used rufus, it can't format my pendrive and shown error as follows
1. I/O device error.
2. Device has a window​s 7 master boot record
Please help if you can do.
And i download iso file from windows website.

Well if you added the iso it should have formatted it. So I dont know why it says what you posted. If it says I/O error, then it maybe faulty.Buy another one
