I just bought a new desktop that has an HDD. My laptop has an SSD. The SSD is chalk full of viruses, malware, etc. I don't have a windows cd/cd key or anything and don't want to buy a new one, since my new desktop came with a new windows 10. Is there a way to fully completely wipe the SSD and insert it into my desktop to make use of the speed of the SSD, without having to install anything since my HDD has windows??

Solution
The safest way to do this is to use a USB dock.
This allows you to power up the infected SSD after the OS is already running on the desktop.

Then you delete ALL partitions on that SSD, reformat, and use as desired.
