I have a Samsung mu8000 which is true 144hz but only has HDMi 2 inputs but my graphics card is a zotic 1050 ti oc which has HDMi 2.0b dvi and do do but when trying to change from the refresh rate on Windows 10 it tops out at 60hz I think my HDMi cable is 2.0 it's the one that came with the original Xbox one any suggestions to get 144hz out of my new tv because I'm completely lost since it doesn't have a dp input?

Solution
For gaming it's usually best to disable the motion rate as it adds input lag/latency. It's great for TV and movies but not so good for gaming, game mode automatically does this on most units.
Exactly where are you seeing that it supports a 4k@144HZ input signal? Its has a motion rate of 240Hz, but this is achieved by reproducing/replicating frames. Everything I see from the specs leads me to believe it will only support a a 4k@60Hz input signal from HDMI 2.0.

There isn't even a 4K computer/gaming monitor available yet that supports 4k above 60Hz(a couple have been announced but not released).

Sorry for the confusion I knew that it wouldn't in 4k I'm wondering about 1080p 144hz

Thanks for the great advice, one more thing since it has a motion rate of 240hz if I play a game that I can get over 60fps will I notice a difference or will it cause screen tearing, if I cap a game at 60'does it just make the game look like it's 244hz?if not is there any point is the motion rate being so high because that's the only reason I got this tv over the cheaper Samsung Tvs

Oh ok, and again thank you so much for your help!
