Hello Everyone! I have just bought a third harddrive for my PC but I cannot get windows to recognize it in the disk management tab.

Now I am a bit of a noob when it comes to hard drives. I currently have a 256GB SSD which Is my main drive with my OS on it. Then I have 1tb regular HD and today I just bought another 500GB HD which I just wanted to use for extra storage.

How do I get this thing to work?

Thanks for all your help

Either. If it were 2TB or larger, GPT.

Okay so I just went back into screen management after being in bios and this popped up for the first time

it wants me to initialize a new disk it says it is disk 2. my options are MBR (master boot record) or GPT (guid partition table). If this drive is just going to be used for storing games and not windows which do I select?

Also thanks so much for your help

WOOO!! We are making progress boys! ( I hate being a noob)

I got the drive to show up and I'm now in the process of formatting it (the slow way) Hopefully this works and il be able to start downloading some games on there.

Seriously thank you so much for your help!
