How to get 5.1 sound

I have this motherboard

I'm trying to get 5.1 sound from it. I hooked up my 5.1 receiver to the coaxial output (I tried the toslink too, same result). Everything I play is in stereo. I tried a few 5.1 demos on youtube. All stereo. Whan I go to the realtek setup, all my options are 2 channel. Any suggestions?

I think you might need a sound card

I updated the drivers last night. They're dated sometime in July 2015.

If using windows. Open playback devices and select your sound device. Click configure and select 5.1. If that doesn't work then again select your playback device (the one matching your sound card) and choose properties and then Advanced then enable "Allow application to take exclusive control of this device". This is on windows 7 but may be the same on 8/10. I dont know. Works with VLC player. I haven't tried it on Youtube.
Edit. I think Youtube only supports stereo. Download a movie in 5.1
