Your wireless stuff has nothing to do with your account with the ISP.
802.11ac has a theoretical performance benefit over 802.11n. However, that is solely between your PC and the router.
You have 802.11n, because the WiFi adapter on your device is 802.11n. You could change that out for a different one, but that will not change your performance talking to the outside world.
My wireless adapter says it supports AC connection though:

Then look at the settings in your router. What is it broadcasting?
According to my Netgear Genie it is broadcasting in N.
Then there ya go. Can you change it to ac?
This will only potentially change the connection speed between you and the router. Has nothing to do with the outside world.
And if you have multiple devices that talk to that router....you might have to change all of them as well.
