[SOLVED] How to get Asus MB16AMT Touch portable monitor to work on AMD system ?

Please if anyone has some idea how to get Asus MB16AMT Touch portable monitor to work on my AMD system I would truly appreciate help with how to get it to work.
The display itself isn't a problem but it appears the touch function works with thunderbolt only. Please advise, if anything can be done, thanks.

For the touchscreen function to work, the monitor must be connected to a USB-C port on the host computer.

From the manual:

To activate touch functionality, you need to connect the display with
the USB Type-C cable to your computer.
• You do not need to install any other software

after many months of sitting on this i finally got around to just buying some cables and seeing if i could get it to work. it does! here's how:
as there is a micro hdmi on the monitor you use it thus:
hdmi to micro hdmi cable for the display
and then also have to insert usb-a to usb-c for the touch function to work. now i need to see if a y-cable will allow charging the battery.
