how to get echo sound off of aspire one? its making me mad

does it have realtek hd audio?

if so go to control panel--audio manager--sound effects and change it to none

this should apply to other sound chips as well as realtek--though you may have to go to control panel--sound--playback device--right click active device--properties--sound enhancements--disable
