how to get java onto lubuntu

this is a very old system. pentium 4, 482mb of ram, so on. how do i get java onto it? it doesnt have internet and i have no way of getting internet on it so thats yout of the question. i can use my current computer to download files though and then transfer them to the computer. how is this done? i tried downloading the linux version of java off of their website and onto the flash drive then onto the computer but it wouldnt open.

yes. it will not open after i extract it. i dont know why maybe because its not ubuntu its lubuntu. any ideas?
