I have a couple old laptops that broke down and I think I had a lot of music files on those that I want to access and transfer to my working desktop PC. Some people on Toms told me I could do this with some kind of hard drive dock iirc.
While I've successfully built several desktop PCs for gaming, I've never really been inside a laptop before so I'm not sure how difficult or risky this activity could be even if I get the hard drive dock.
I'm also not really sure what type of hard drive dock would work for a laptop hard drive, or what kind of hard drive I would likely find inside these laptops (the laptops are of varying ages...).
Or what kind of tools I would likely need to do this.
