Alright now, i have done some research about audio and headphones, DAC and soundcards. I want to get good sound and get blown away. I am either going with the beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 80ohm or the sennheiser momentum ON-Ear.

First, which one of these are the best headphones for sound? I listen to all kinds of musik, mostly alive musik and rap, dubstep, rock and stuff like that.

Now, should i buy a DAC or a soundcard or both or what? Im confused here but from what i have read this is what i understand. If i buy good headphones it does not matter, i either need a DAC or a soundcard to get the full expierience. pls help me, i just want to enjoy good music, also i watch alot of movies and play games like bf4 while talking on skype with my friends.

I will only listn to FLAC format, no crappy spotfiy music 😉
Im thankfull for all help, thanks :)

a dac has better latency so gives a better audio output.
as for whether you will need a sound card. it depends on the audio you have on the motherboard and how well shielded it is.
a lot of onboard sound suffers signal bleeding especially from the mic i/o circuit. if yours doesn't suffer from it (likely as you have an asus with decent audio) then a dac will likely be all you need.(along with a decent set of bins that is)

The onboard soundcard of the asus is supremeFX, sounds cool but not sure if its good. Right now i have hooked up some low end speakers to the mobo and then connected my qpad qh90 to them. Could you recommend me a good DAC thats not to expensive? what do you mean with a decent set of bins? thanks :)

Everyone has their own sound that they like to hear so I can tell you what is best for you. For work I stream rhapsody through my Iphone 6 to a FiiO E17 to a pair of Shure SE535 Japan special edition reds, on average 5 out of 8 hours a day. At homei have the EX set on the SB ZxR for the SRH750DJ and cant really tell a difference while gaming between the two pair. Ive gone through many brands but for me I always end up with shure's, to me they just have always sounded the best.

Maybe i'll go with the sennheiser momentum on ear instead cuz where im from they are so cheap at the moment. Any good about these? will i get good sound without any DAC or sound card or are these components critcal for SQ?

is the geek out 450 usb DAC a good one? Ifound it for 60dollars. thanks
