How to get regular tv without the remote to my Toshiba 57hc85

Hi have a Toshiba 57hc85 monitor tv made in 2005.serial no# 26108027.it was given to me without the remote.n can not get tv to switch to anntena or there's no way to even hook up a converter box.all it has is a hmdi port.? Is how to set it to tv

Buy a universal remote? Buy a TV tuner box that has HDMI output? Several ways I can think of...
Depending on what cell phone you have, there may even be an app for it. Many cell phones have an IR emitter to be a remote.

The Galaxy J7 does not have an IR blaster (emitter) according to the specs I can find. If you have a friend with an S5 or S6 they both have IR emitters.

I found a remote for a different tv from the same manufacturer and it worked on my crt just now. i am beyond thrilled
