How to get Runescape 3 to run faster?

Just got a new detachable laptop and I wanted to play runescape on it but it doesn't pass 5-7fps..if i could just get it to 20fps or so id be happy.

It is on the lowest settings and I have tried toggling between direct x and open gl.

specs:

processor : AMD A6 1450
RAM : 4GB
GPU : AMD Radeon HD 8250 2gb (onboard)
OS : Windows 8.1

That laptop isn't meant for anything more than browsing Facebook. It is really not even designed for light gaming, just general usage only.

Runescape is terribly inefficient with it's CPU usage, and only uses One core at that. This laptop has 4 cores at 1Ghz. (basically you're trying to play a CPU intensive game with a single 1Ghz cpu.)

Yep, as said your hardware isn't very powerful for any demanding games.

*Try running Torchlight (there's a demo) and see how that works. I doubt there are any MMO's you could run though.

well i have a gaming desktop at home, this is just for school and stuff, but it would be nice to be able to game a bit.. also i am playing neverwinter on there pretty well..lowest graphic settings, but it works...thanks anyway, i was just hoping there was something i could do to make runescape run smoother 🙁
