Question how to get the 600 black and white printing on my win10 ?

i have 2 pc First is laptop running win7 and second is desktop running win10
i use the same printer hp laserjet1600 for both. and libre office writer for both
im satisfied of the printing on the laptop cause i can select the 600 instead of 2400 wich makes black and white economy

on the desktop, the interface is different , i dont know why and i dont like it cause it does not allow me to use the 600 for economic printing.

Why are the interface different ?

because it an old printer. HP didn't create a full feature driver for it in windows 10
is there option on the printer itself to default quality?

what do you mean that? if i can tell the printer to do 600 by pushing its button physically?

Could i run a win 7driver on win10 then?

are you saying that it is not a full driver because they call it basic?

also how to know if what seems to be a universal driver will do 600 dot and work with my printer ?

i tried installing universal driver. it seems to have the 600 but when i send a document to it it does not print. i used the usb virtual

I also tried downloading the win7 64 driver and clicked trouble shooter it says it will test it and no 600 options
