How to get the recovery of data after format

the only way to recover it is by using programs like norton undelete etc but they can only recover data which has not be written over.

Do you format the HDD with fast format? or low profile.

If was in fast format, you can use Active File Recovery (really good, i use with 3 HDD), or ontrack easy recovery.
