how to get the safemode option in windows 7

how to get the safe mode option when black screen freezes on my computer before the booting actually my laptop has no battery backup so when the power is gone the system shutdown and again power came back i tried to open it but i cant get into the boot menu

should be F8, press it repeatedly at the splash screen.

F8 is the way to do it. However if you have an Asus product (laptop or motherboard) it gets a bit tricky. Asus, for some dumb ass reason, uses f8 as their boot manager. So if you hit f8 while bios is loading you'll trigger that instead of safe mode. So if you have an Asus, hit the f8 after bios loads but before windows begins loading. Yes I know that sounds like a high level of bull crap but its what Asus techs told me when I asked them directly about it.

i tried it but it gives beep sound only but not getting any options menu
