How to get to editing BIOS without OS

This is my first PC build and everything worked perfectly. However, as I was getting familiar with the BIOS screen I accidentally moved on to the next step of installing an OS before I got the chance to edit my BIOS. I need to know how I can get back to the BIOS edit screen.

You can access the BIOS every time you reboot your machine. Just as the PC is booting up you'll want to press either f12, f8, or the delete (del) key to open your BIOS before the operating system boots.

You can check your motherboard manual if you want to know exactly which key to press to access your BIOS.

just reset your machine?

After booting, the machine will go to a black screen with text telling me to reboot and select proper boot device. But because I haven't selected a boot device from the BIOS I am stuck.
