I currently have my desktop pc connected to my DSL Wired/Ethernet Century Link modem which also has a built-in wireless router, model # PK5001Z that I use with my landline phone and DSL internet connection. MY GOAL: I want to cancel my landline phone and DSL and purchase a android tablet that can also be used as a phone (phone-tablet/phablet) and be able to use it in my apartment with Wi-Fi and on-the-go So; I need the best advice and step-by-step instructions on how to and what I will need to get Wi-Fi in my apartment?

Price and availability vary greatly depending on where you live. You should do a little research about what works best in your area. If someone on the other side of the country with different options suggests you a service it may not be very good for you at all. Where I live only US Cellular is the only service that is dependable for Data but it's expensive. You can find plenty of Hotspot devices that are Pay as you go but how well they work will depend on where you are at, at work I use a Hot Spot from Verizon but it wont work for shit at home which is why I kept DSL. We kept DSL for home as Cell Data would get eat up in under 3 weeks, even though the plan was listed as Unlimited I would notice throttling in the 3 week.
