How to get windows 7 to show 4tb on disk management?

I've tried various methods but I can't seem to find how I get my pc to.reveal the hard drive. I have a Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K6000 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive but windows 7 only sees 1.6tb. how do I get it to show the full amount? The Formant of the HDD is GPT but still only shows me 2tb

Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit supports initializing and partitioning hard drives larger than 2TB as GPT.
is your windows 64 bits or 32 bits ? is your drive partitioned in GPT? or MBR?

Looking at the I booted it using UFEI but it still only shows 2tb the motherboard shows it at 4tb but not windows

Can you post screenshot from Disk Management?

You can check partitioning style of your HDD in Disk Management also:

Are you trying a fresh install of Windows 7 x64 on the 4TB drive?
If yes, make sure you are using UEFI instead of legacy BIOS and make sure the media you are booting from (USB or DVD) is using UEFI. You'll need to clean and convert the disk before the Windows installation. Check out these vids - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nymMWop7bPw

NOTE: The above steps will erase everything on the drive.

Then you should be able to extend partition on your 4TB drive.

I still can not see it allowing me to extend it

Clean the drive using diskpart first. That should reset drive capacity to 3725GB.

If that doesn't help, you may need to delete all partitions on the drive and convert it to mbr and then convert back to gpt.

I have tried using the CMD PRMT to clean then convert. still doesn't work. and then tried to convert it from GPT to MBR back to GPT and it still doesn't show up
