How to get wireless option for Toshiba laptop. Wired connection gets internet. Wireless says no network connection.

My Toshiba laptop has internet when using a wired option; when I unplug the cable, I get no internet and the message of "no network connection." How do I connect to a network?

Make sure wireless is enabled, and go to Network and Sharing Center and look to set up a new wireless connection
