My computer has 32bit windows 7 because my cpu couldn't handle a 64bit at the time. I recently upgraded it so my comp can now handle a 64bit. I've tried reading up on this but can't figure out how to uninstall and reinstall. I don't mind if i lose all my info as long as i can have a 64bit os.

Thanks,
Austin

@Knight Format. Reload. ? Can you be a little more specific please. I don't know how to even start.

@Nikorr. thanks, i know i can follow instructions easily but how do i even get to that first picture? When i put in the cd and reboot it just starts up my old 32bit windows.

Looks like that...

Thanks so much, i set my boot order for CDR and its running my 64Bit windows cd now. So will it overwrite my 32 bit or will that version still be on my hard drive. I've read about windows .old or some type of folder like that?

I know i ask alot. But when im at the screen "where do you want to install windows?" i chose the HD that says system and i get an error saying "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information."

Yes, it will give u option to erase the current partition, do it.

Set your mobo before install to the AHCI.

Dang, i read your last post before i already started. I didn't switch to AHCI before i started. I looked up the error and they told me to unplug all my other HD's except the one i wanted to use. I did that and the installation is working now. What is the difference between AHCI and IDE i think it is?
