I am looking at building two gaming pc's (for me and my brother) and putting them in a server case so I can put them in a rack in the family office that doesn't get used.
So far I thought about using a KVM switch over IP.
Just wondering if anyone has a better solution or any experience.
Thanks Alex

A KVM switch permits one user to select one of two computers.

A "reverse" KVM switch permits one of two users to work on one computer.

Not sure about my understanding of your post: do you want to be able to select one or the other of the gaming computers when you play?

Or set up logins that allow you to log into one computer or the other while your brother logs into the other computer.....

Suggest that you sketch out and post a diagram (with comments) regarding your requirements.
