How to increase CPU performance for gaming?

Hello there. Is there any way I can help my games get the most out of my processor without overclocking? Any tricks which will make my processor focus completely on the game?
I am experiencing some frame drops in BF3 multiplayer (1080p ULTRA). The game ranges from 45-65fps and goes into the 30s when there's some destruction around me.
Here's my full pc specs:
i7-3770k @3.4GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB SATA HDD
Zotac GTX 760 2GB

The problem isn't with the graphics card because it's performing like it should in the benchmarks and in games which are GPU intensive. Please help.

Solution
Your FPS issues are down to the graphics card, your CPU is more than capable of playing BF3. Benchmarks just show you average framerates, so they won't show you that the FPS can drop right down in high intensity moments as they don't last that long so don't effect the average.

Out of curiosity, can I ask why you're not overclocking but have a k series CPU?

obviously because the processor is sufficient enough, OC processor is A for fun or B because you actually profit from it by having your programs render/compile faster.

Ingame? nah not really, its a 3770k! beastly processor on its own.

And yes what this person is saying dont worry about it! there are some tricks you can set your max FPS in Nvidia settings to always be 30.

The reason you see anything/notice during gameplay is the diffrence between going from 60 to 30.

While your eyes are 30fps, it is eventually a smoother gameplay if set to a constant 30fps instead of all out and having drops.

So you all see where im coming from?

I don't think it's obvious, as you pay a premium for a k series CPU as it can be overclocked.

Also, there's no scientific basis that the eye can only process images at a rate of 30fps. The fact that some people can detect fluorescent lights flickering, and they modulate at around 100hz, clearly shows that eyesight efficiency is variable and that we can process images at a greater rate than 30hz.

I'm afraid not. As I mentioned in my first post, it's down to your GPU as that CPU is more than capable. Sorry!

Be sure V-sync is off, but as said earlier thats normal.

WHat mhz is your ram??
Well its 8 GiGs but if they are below 1333Mhz they will not be able to transfer more data for your applications. BF3 is ram and gpu intense you have gtx 760 which is more than enough to play bf3 on ultra no bo and i7 which has not a single problem to run this game.

I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300, Asus Radeon R9 270X and 4 gigs of 1600Mhz ram and bfe runs maxed out 40 - 80fps with an average of 60fps.

Thats only soem of the reasons but take a look at your temperatures and tell me.
When the lag spikes appear is when your cpu hits 100% usage?
What your cpu temperatures are.
WHat your gpu temperatures are.

Make sure to clean off dust and clean your pc with some kind of cleaning program like cccleaner and do virus scan just to be sure..
