How to increase fps rate on pc games.

My pc runs very slow with 3rd person kind of games. I want to know how to increase the performance on my computer. I have 4gb of ram installed on my pc but is still laggy, can anyone help me with this. Thanks

We need full pc specification. The easiest way is lowering game settings but if that's not enough then you need hardware upgrades hence we need to know what you have
