How to instal a free email program

Hello,
i'm trying to send picture by email, the computer is telling me to install a email program. how do i do that and will or can it be free

Windows 7 doesn't come with an e-mail client, so you have to download and install one. Most people use one of these (both are free):

Mozilla Thunderbird:

But you should be able to send a picture (or for that matter, any kind of reasonable sized file) by using your email account's web interface. Look for the words "attach files" or "add attachments".

I should make mention, you can send e-mails through online clients (ex: Yahoo, hotmail, gmail) Windows will by default search for an installed client but the online ones work just as well.

or if you have a reasonably new version of office


there is usually outlook express i believe i think its not installed by default though.

but dont quote me on it
