How to instal and run a program on linux?

I have linux lite, but the pc does not have an internet connection. I need to load Wine onto thet pc using my windows 10 laptop. How would I run a program from Linux? Is there a certain command?

Lets say I have the program ready to go, how would I launch that program on Linux Lite? I just want to use Wine to run programs for Windows

From terminal run:
cd path/to/program
wine exampleprogramename.exe

Probably there exist a linux version or alternative for what ever you are trying to run. Wine is not perfect, will not work 100% with everything.

Do yourself a favor, and connect that "Linux lite" (whatever it is) to internet. Then use that distro' Package Manager to install Wine (or any other app).

There is no easy way (especially for non-experienced Linux users) to download offline an application, all of its dependencies, and move it over to a unknown Linux distro.
